BUILDING A WORLD WHERE EVERY FAMILY HAS STABLE HOUSING
Central Virginia Housing is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. We work to improve the regional quality of life by providing affordable housing opportunities to families through coalition, education, and counseling. Our organization began with an all-volunteer staff and one program. Today, Central Virginia Housing is fully staffed and is focused on providing affordable housing in the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, Caroline, and King George.
The Need
HOUSING INSECURITY
At Central Virginia Housing, our goal is to connect our community with information and resources to best serve their housing needs. Nobody plans on losing their housing and facing homelessness. However, the average American is only one paycheck away from becoming homeless. For families living paycheck to paycheck, one unexpected expense can jeopardize housing.
Our Approach
WE EQUIP WITH CONFIDENCE
We work with families and individuals to try and prevent them from losing their housing when crisis strikes. We equip those who walk through our doors with the information and tools necessary for them to be successful renters or homeowners through education, counseling, community collaboration and case management.
