Central Virginia Housing offers counseling and workshops designed to promote and safeguard homeownership in underserved communities.
Our programs educate and empower individuals and families seeking to expand their housing options. Our counselor is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and provides information and access to affordable housing in the counties that we serve in Planning District 16 (Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline) and in Westmoreland.
Unfortunately due to funding changes, HUD Certified Housing Counseling is limited to classes.

Pre-Purchase Counseling
Understand the home buying process, including education for first-time homebuyers, and wealth building through homeownership.
In order to access HUD Counseling, please ensure you complete an Intake Packet and Spending Plan. A complete Intake Packet must contain a credit report as well.
An incomplete Intake Packet and Spending Plan will delay your access to HUD Counseling.
Foreclosure Prevention
