Housing Resources
One of our goals is to connect you with resources in the greater community that will equip you with the information needed to successfully navigate the housing market. Below is information for you to use as you actively are searching for housing options and assistance.
Effective January 10, 2023, the maximum amount of assistance to eligible Virginia homeowners is $50,000 with no cap on the number of months past due. Homeowners experiencing a financial hardship due to COVID-19 after January 21, 2020 (this may include a financial hardship that began before January 21, 2020, and continued after that date due to COVID-19) with a delinquency amount of $50,000 or less may now be eligible for assistance. Applicants who were previously deemed ineligible due to the original program cap policy should contact a program representative at 833-OUR-VMRP (833-687-8677), Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. to begin the appeal process.

SUBSIDIZED APARTMENTS
Subsidized housing is a program where HUD helps private apartment owners offer reduced rents to low-income tenants. You can search for subsidized housing in your area on hud.gov. All inquiries about applications must be made directly to the apartment complex. Central Virginia Housing does not administer these programs.
