IPR Contractor Information and Requirements
Contractors will be hired for the installation of indoor plumbing to owners of substandard housing where indoor plumbing does not exist or where the existing water delivery or waste disposal systems have failed. Additionally, sub-standard properties will be renovated to meet Housing Quality Standards. If you would like information about receiving assistance through this program, click here.

Eligible contractors must have the following:
  • A or B Contractor's License
  • Liability insurance coverage of $100,000 property and $300,000 personal injury (minimum)
  • Established as a general contractor for at lest one year
  • Good references from two or more jobs of similar work and dollar value
  • Established good credit with no outstanding judgments or claims
  • Proof of training in Lead-Safe Work Practices (CVHC will assist contractors in completing this requirement)

IPR contracts usually include but are not limited to the following types of activities:

  • plumbing
  • electrical
  • additions
  • drywall repair
  • survey work
  • soil work
  • well installation
  • standard and alternative septic installation
  • painting
  • window and door replacement
  • roofing
