CVHC offers programs for homeownership through our partnership with VHDA (Virginia Housing Development Authority) and DHCD (Department of Housing and Community Development). These programs provide low interest loans and down payment assistance to qualified first time homebuyers in Planning District 16. Properties for Sale
Central Virginia Housing Coalition sells properties that have been donated, purchased at auction, or purchased at a reduced price. Proceeds from these sales fund housing education and counseling activities in the Greater Fredericksburg area. CVHC does not publish a full listing of its properties for sale as many are connected to our affordable housing programs. Please read below, to find out more about our homeownership programs. |

SPARC
CVHC partners with VHDA to build or renovate and sell single family homes to qualified applicants at below market prices . VHDA's Homes are available through CVHC developed projects or choose a listed home in PD16, Orange County, or Culpeper.
The SPARC program offers a fixed rate low interest loan, down payment assistance, and paid closing costs for properties located in the Airport subdivision of Fredericksburg.

Indoor Plumbing and Rehabilitation
Allows families without indoor plumbing access to low cost repairs and/or installations. CVHC may also renovate a home in conjunction with IPR if it fails to meet Section 8 Housing Quality Standards.
- Resident of Stafford or Spotsylvania
- Own or have lifetime rights to house/mobile home and the real estate it sits upon or be heir to the estate
- Must lack either complete indoor plumbing or lack indoor bathroom, kitchen sink, source of water or sewage disposal method; Applicant's mobile home must lack complete indoor plumbing - (signed form)
- Loans based on ability to pay
- Must agree to photography of house, plumbing and property
